We are currently in need of 35 Volunteers to help with Habitat Restoration at Sabercat Historical Park this Saturday, May 4th. The volunteer opportunity is at Sabercat Creek, Site to be determined. Volunteers and Parents/Guardians, please read the information below along with the volunteer guidelines.


This event is organized by the City of Fremont Environmental Services Division and is a Habitat Restoration. This is a great opportunity to have a positive impact on the environment.

A reusable water bottle, outdoor work clothes: hats, sunscreen, sturdy closed-toe shoes/boots, long pants and a long-sleeved shirt. Highly recomended to bring your own gloves and tools (please label them).


Event: Habitat Restoration for Sabercat Historical Park

Date: Saturday May 4, 2019

Volunteer Time: 9 am – 12 pm, Arrive 10 minutes early 10 sign-in. Safety information starts at 9 am.

Ages: All Ages

Number of Spots: 35

Please note: This volunteer opportunity is limited to the first 35 people. Confirmations will be sent via email on Tuesday, April 30 or earlier. If selected, please bring school forms if necessary and a completed Volunteer Form.

Volunteer Tasks

  • Maintain native plants, remove invasive plants, and sheet mulch.
